This large rectangular baker's elegant ruffled edge make for a lovely presentation for bacon and egg pies and lasagnes. You can also use it as a roasting dish too, it is a very versatile piece.
Made from HR® ceramic (High Resistance), it is resistant to chipping and differences in temperature, and can go from the freezer to a preheated oven. Also a great feature of this ceramic bakeware is its highly resistant glaze which does not scratch or craze and is highly resistant to chipping; the glaze is so hard, you can cut inside the dish without harming the surface.
The Emile Henry ceramic technology gently diffuses the heat to the heart of the dish, baking the food evenly and gently without drying it out. The finished pie can be brought to the table, still warm, and served from this decorative dish.
- Resistance Against Mechanical Shocks: During everyday use, there are many opportunities to bang a dish or a set of plates. Particularly resistant to shocks, our ceramic is even used in restaurants!
- Resistance Against Temperature Changes: A dish or stewpot should be able to withstand wide variations in temperature. Our ceramics allow our products to be taken directly from the freezer to the hot oven (+250°C/500°F).
- Resistance Against Fading Colors: Heat, the dishwasher or sharp instruments will all have an ageing effect on a product. Our glazes are particularly resistant to the dishwasher and the most aggressive of detergents.
